The Neurodivergent Revolution

My capstone will be a website with the medium of a story/timeline in which I tell a story about the neurodivergent community in a creative, informative, and educational style. The story will follow a timeline, ranging from the times when neurodivergence first entered the public sphere and social justice movement. Between these informative parts, there will be showcases of neurodivergent artists and their works to show their creative abilities. The intended audience are divergent individuals, but everybody is welcome and even encouraged as the goal of the project is to bridge the gap between people who are “different.” The idea that neurodivergent people are “abnormal” or “weird” are terms that this capstone intends to eliminate. Instead, there will be more normalization and validation through researching the history and facts of neurodivergence.
